Must Know 1080P Smartphones for 2013
HD stands for High Definition which is short for lots of pixels – the more the pixels the better. So if you could imagine a high definition or high resolution phones out there tend to provide an experience just a step above all the other phones. The highest resolutions that we are seeing right now are at resolution of 1920 x 1080 so as you can imagine, we’re not going to take a look of what’s best with them but today I am going to show you the 5 best 1080P smartphones in the market.
Sony Xperia Z(L)
This is for me is the best looking phone for the year. It is pretty much a hands down, #1 for the design – so if you are cutting down for the best looking phones, then I would give this bad boy a number one spot. It is a water resistant device and actually it is a fast phone too. So, it is really a handsome and speedy device.
But there are negativities that go with the phone though. The main flaw that I can think of with the Xperia Z is the display. It doesn’t have the best contrast in the world and it has sub-par viewing angle. So, we can’t say that it is the best of the best but it does get on my 5 list.
This is also known in the United States as the Droid DNA. It is a red and black version and it is the first 1080P with LTE phone. We would also expect a 1080P with LTE phone to have a huge battery – but it didn’t. It only has a 2020mah battery, so that is probably the biggest weakness for this phone. But overall the phone is a very well built device with polycarbonate back, a nice uni-body construction which is really a good feel in the hand and of course the awesome 1080P display. This phone is actually the first 1080P phone in the US that is why it was so popular.
Oppo Find 5
This is technically the first 1920x1080P display. The resolution is actually unheard of some of the latest phones and is like unrealistic but this device is the first and it was first brought to China and the Oppo Find 5 is a dream when we talk about the spec sheet; the hardware line up that they put into this phone is absurd – it is insane and is made out of complete steel, it is a uni-body construction as well, has a 13 megapixel camera, it got the Snapdragon S4 Pro and has the latest Android OS when it came out which is really an all-around piece of device.
Samsung Galaxy S4
This is one of the anticipated phones in 2013. You can argue that the S3 was the phone of the year for 2012, so the S4 follows up with really powerful specs on a smartphone. You know why? First, it has an Octacore CPU in the international version which is the i9500, it has the 2600 mah battery and a 13 megapixel camera. You can argue that this is a really unbeatable phone for this year but then there is just a super minor issue with this device:
- It is still an Amoled display.
- Build quality
These two are just minors and outside of those it is one of the best, that is why it is the second to the last to be introduced on this post.
Every single review of this device has been glowingly positive because this thing is off the charts; good on the hardware front and on the software front. HTC One is so good that the biggest complaint about it is the fact that it is sealed so you cannot change the battery if you need them just like the Apple Iphones. Another negative fact is the 4 megapixel camera. But aside from those complaints about the device, you can never go wrong with HTC One. It has a rock solid processor, got an awesome all-around aluminum phone case and large battery.
So check out all these phones and find out how cool 1080P on your eyes! Enjoy!
